INESC TEC participated in the Porto Anniversary Summit 2019 event, which took place on February 20, at Maus Hábitos.
The event, organized by Airbnb, was aimed at companies and people from the tourism sector offering local accommodation and experiences in the sector, who received tips on how to attract reservations, obtain 5-star ratings in Porto, increase their business or improve the management of some Airbnb functionalities, among others.
INESC TEC was represented by Sara Neves, a researcher at the Centre for Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship who, as part of the TouriSMEshare project, presented the theme “How to Become an Entrepreneur in the Tourism Sector”, as well as the Call for Operators to select SMEs for specialized support. This support will take a number of forms, one of which is the free provision of diagnostic services, expert advice and the prospect of business partnerships or technological cooperation with the Enterprise Europe Network seal. In Portugal, these services will be made available by INESC TEC, Network partner and member of the European consortium of TouriSMEshare.
TouriSMEshare is dedicated to supporting SMEs, Social Enterprises, or other entities that explore or intend to explore business models based on the Economy of Sharing or Sharing Economy in the Tourism and Intangible Cultural Heritage sector in 4 European countries (Portugal, Spain , Italy and Bulgaria).
